Hey kids.
I am writing to you from my second home, the biomed lab.

It's week 9. I am gonna fall off the face of the Earth for awhile. As it seems I have done so for the past few weeks. I'll be back in the EC March something. I don't know. Booo.

Check out my Flickr. I got some new stuff up there for you to look at. Keep checking back there. I'm gonna try and put up interesting biomed stuff too that I've been doing this quarter. I finished a knitting project too and I'm a gonna try and blog about it if I can find a spare moment. Aww jeez fingers crossed I can get through the end of the quarter.

Happy Valentine's to you early. No bitterness for me this year and not because I have a significant other this time around. I love V-Day cuz I love making Valentine's and making someone smile. Valentine's is about love. Not just about boyfriends and girlfriends. Its about loving yourself, your friends, and your significant other if you have one. But no big if you don't. So don't put all kinds of pressure on yourself if you don't cuz in the end that stuff doesn't matter. Love matters and loving yourself matters.

Lime!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Ok, I value my roommate's opinion. This is my lime shot. It was photographed for an assignment in which we designed a book cover for a middle school science book. During crit, my prof picked this image out as one of his favorites. That warms the cockles of my little heart. Hope you enjoy it.

Fungi!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

After a long dry spell, I give you fungi. This is from an assignment from Biomed Photo II where we were each given a subject to photograph and then let loose in a park. This shot is probably one of my favorites. I had been searching all moring a some fungi that was upside down so I could get a shot of the underside. I think this is a pretty good example.

Meet Fred

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is Fred. He was a caterpillar that was hanging out on one of the hanging plants. He was eating it and it was dying. So Fred had to die. But not before I took some pictures. This was taken with the D70. That camera has me in shock in awe. Its amazing. I was able to Photoshop this image to make as gorgeous as you see it. Hawt, huh? Yeah, Fred was cool dude. Until my Dad killed him.

Lil' Mushroom

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I found this lil cutie out in my front yard. I used my macro lenses and some Fuji Realia. I haven't done a whole lot with photographer this summer what with working a lot. But I will probably be posting some photos in the following days that I've taken with my new Nikon D70. A digital SLR. Ooooh, my wildest dreams have come true! Right now, I'm just trying to get a feel for it. Yay!

Holy Shit! It's High Mag!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is yarn at high magnification. We finally started in on the cool biomed photo shit. Just in time for the end of the year? Best comment ever during crit: "Leave it to Stitch n' Bitch to take a knitting picture." - Boner.

Stitch n' Bitch is my rugby nickname. Boner is a rugger who is in my photo class. Don't ask too many questions.

Anyway, I can't believe how awesome I am.

I liked the way I cropped this.
